Bradley Denton is an American author known for his works in science fiction, fantasy, and speculative fiction. Bradley Denton was born on October 20, 1958, in Towanda, Kansas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Kansas in 1982 and later received a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Wichita State University.

Denton's writing career gained recognition with the publication of his first novel, Wrack and Roll (1986), which blends elements of science fiction and rock 'n' roll culture. His second novel, Buddy Holly Is Alive and Well on Ganymede (1991), further established his reputation as an author who skillfully combines humor, wit, and speculative elements in his storytelling. Images of truth and fantasy develop around characters living in a futuristic pop-culture of the southern Midwest, including space aliens disguised as humans living in Kansas and a desperately depressed computer-store clerk whose mother worships rock 'n' roll
